Re: [STDS-802-3-EPOC] EPoC RF Spectrum Ad Hoc Agenda

Duane,

               Yes, let's talk about that today. I think Leo's presentation helps illustrate that in practice there is a minimum width of an exclusion sub-band, to make it effective.

Steve,
I'd like to add a topic discussion on Sub-Channels; or what is the minimum number of number of sub-carriers that can be addressed. I think there should be consensus that we don't need to control every sub-carrier, the question becomes how fine is our control granularity. A number of options I heard include 8-12 sub-carriers, 1 MHz, and 2 MHz. I think this is something we should begin talking about as it has significant implications on the amount of management data that the PHY-Link needs to handle.
Best Regards,
Duane

All,

               This is a reminder that we have an RF Spectrum Ad Hoc call tomorrow at 11 AM Pacific Time (2 PM Eastern Time).

               The bridge information is in the appointment that I sent out previously. The plan is to review and see if we can address some of the open issues (attached). We need to fill up the column labeled "Recommendation to TF." I will be preparing an Ad Hoc status report. I will include the latest version of our open issues list, so any updates we make tomorrow, will be included in the status report presentation. Any recommendations we have, will be considered by the Task Force in Phoenix.

If anyone has a presentation they would like to make please notify me.

Agenda

*        Review IEEE-SA Patent Policy

*        Attendance

*        Address Open Issues List
