Re: [802SEC] Motion to return 802.20 to individual voting rights
I tend to agree w/ Tony in his recent emails concerning the nature of
the mandate given to 802.20 (it wasn't to do entity based voting, and we
aren't "returning" to individual voting rights - we never left) and the
way forward (we should poll them before acting to change the mandate).
Two questions:
If we poll 802.20, how should that poll be tabulated? By voting blocks,
by individuals, both?
Does this action have any effect on the UC-EC? That's the "entity" I'd
like to get rid of *if* the time has come. Has it, in effect, already
been disbanded by virtue of the standard being finalized? I'd be happy
to turn in my UC-EC union card at the earliest opportunity...
