Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBI] Upcoming TGbi Teleconferences, including proposed motion

Hi, Duncan and all. Thank you for the submission.

I have one  comment related to the submission.
I would keep epochs general and not split them to individual and group epoch.
- The group epoch setup signaling proposals seem very heavy for the STAs requiring Beacon receptions and setup signaling for each address change
- The individual epoch looks very similar to re-association or roaming to the same AP. 802.11bi will encrypt these operations. Not sure whether there is any difference on these operations.
- Periodic epoch is not clearly mentioned in the normative text. This epoch should have setup signaling part of association and it should setup multiple epochs and their changes.

==> It is good  to have more discussion on epochs before including multiple epoch types to the specification.
==> Below is proposed changes to have only a single epoch type in the text.

Change 1) remove individual and group epoch definitions from the clause 3.2:

Change2) Remove individual and group epochs from clause 10.y:

Hi Carol, and 11bi members,

Phil and I have worked offline with Stephane and Patrice to merge our documents (23/2098r3 frame anonymization and 24/79r2 edp epoch operation) with some potentially controversial items removed. I’ve uploaded it on mentor 24/222r0.

All of the text is informative and have been presented and discussed in length before (with SPs run for some of the features). We believe the text reflects the current direction of the majority of the group regarding frame anonymization. The goal here is to have a good framework for D0.1 with the understanding that a lot of details will still need to be filled in.

May we present this version on the 1/31 call if possible?

Thanks,
Duncan

Thanks,
