Hi Yinan, Thanks for this comment. Based on the recent discussions in meetings and the comments I received, most people think that determining PPDU end with RSSI is very unreliable since the non-AP STAs receive
the signal over 80MHz bandwidth. A signal strength loss observed by the STA may be caused by the signal change on other 2.4GHz channels, not the targeted channel. Thus, including the signal strength as one criterion for determining the PPDU end can lead to
unexpected PPDU ending decision when the targeted AMP PPDU is not losing signal strength. I would suggest not include the RSSI measurement as a PPDU criterion in the receive procedure since this is an unreliable metric. Please let me know your thought. Best Regards Lumin From:

Hi Lumin, Thanks for the pdt. I actually prefer the original version for how to determine the end of PPDU with two Alts including significant drop of the signal strength. I understand the measurement may not be feasible for some AMP devices
but MAC header indication is also with some issues, such as cross layer indication, wrong decoding of MAC header, etc. So I suggest to go back to the previous version and keep two Alts. If STA does not do measurement, it can do MAC header decoding. This version addresses comments I have received. I have uploaded to the server. https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/26/11-26-0837-04-00bp-pdt-40-3-14-amp-receive-procedure.docx Best Regards Lumin From: liulumin <00004bd3b1d2f01a-dmarc-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Hi All, Thanks for the helpful discussion on the PDT text in today’s session. Based on the discussion, I made the following modifications to the draft:
1.
Adding the frequency shift parameter for active UL (if supported)
2.
Correcting typo of “AMP Enabled non-AP STA”
3.
Removing the signal loss detection, RSSI measurement in the text and the procedure and state machine figures
4.
Adding a way of ending receive procedure: “The AMP MAC may indicate the length of the MPDU to the PHY by TBD primitive after decoding the MAC header in
the AMP-Data field. The PHY shall keep decoding until the number of decoded octets reaches the length of the MPDU.” Please see the attached draft for details. Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated! Best Regards Lumin To unsubscribe from the STDS-802-11-TGBP list, click the following link:
