[STDS-802-11-TGBQ] TGbq Leadership Affirmation – May 2026 interim
Dear TGbq participants,
As part of the biennial process, the upcoming IEEE 802.11 May interim session will include the re-election/re-affirmation or new election/affirmation of our TGbq task group leadership.
I’m pleased to share that all current officers have expressed their willingness to continue in their respective roles:
Chair: Edward Au (Huawei)
Vice-Chair: Rui Cao (NXP)
Vice-Chair: Abhishek Patil (Qualcomm)
Vice-Chair: Sang Kim (LG Electronics)
Secretary: Jonghoe Koo (Samsung Electronics)
Editor: Cheng Chen (Intel)
Accordingly, we anticipate proceeding with pro forma motions/affirmations for these positions.
That said, if you have any interest in serving in a leadership role, please let me know by Friday, 8 May 2026. I would be happy to include appropriate agenda items for discussion/motions during our first 2-hour meeting slot - Monday PM3, in the May interim session.
