IEEE 802.3 FMP Ethernet Interoperability Study Group

With the approval of the IEEE P802.3dw PAR on 25 September 2026, the IEEE 802.3 FMP Ethernet Interoperability Study Group has completed its charter and transitioned to the IEEE P802.3dw FMP Ethernet Powering Techniques Task Force. On 13 March 2026, the IEEE 802 LMSC chartered a Study Group under the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group to develop a Project Authorization Request (PAR) and Criteria for Standards Development (CSD) responses for "FMP Ethernet powering techniques".
