At this time the
group is looking at doing software simulations for define the
tables.
Note, however, any
test cases that get defined must be implementable by hardware simulator
systems, as the test cases will be used for conformance testing of 10PASS-TS
PHY's. I think so far we're OK in that regard.

Spirent has several different VDSL wireline simulator and noise impairment
systems used throughout the xDSL industry, we would be happy to consider a
loan of a simulator system to a test group managed by the IEEE, for a
period of time, to help validate the various tables if this would be of
assistance to the IEEE and development of the EFM-Copper
standard.
