Candidacy for IEEE 802.17 Secretary Position
Hi, all,
My name is Byoung-Joon (BJ) Lee, and I work at Tropic Networks as
a systems engineering technical specialist. I have been participating
in the IEEE RPRSG as a recording secretary so far, and wish to continue
contributing to the 802.17 RPRWG in the same capacity.
I earned a PhD degree in EE at the university of Waterloo, Canada,
and the research topic was on multiaccess protocols, and congestion
control in integrated services LAN and MAN networks including FDDI
and DQDB. My past 8 year industry experience also included ATM system
design and traffic management, and IP QoS architecture and performance
analysis. Current focus of my work is in the area of IP over optics,
MPLS traffic engineering, L2/L3 VPN, and RPR protocol.
