IEEE 802.1 holds meetings at the 802 Plenary sessions in March, July and November each year, and usually holds interim meetings in January, May and September. As the volume of work in 802.1 has increased recently, individual task groups are sometimes holding additional interim meetings.

802.1 January '10 Interim meeting
The January interim meeting will be held in Austin, TX, from January 19th to 22nd, hosted by Hewlett-Packard. There will be a meeting fee of $200. The room rate at the hotel will be $169. On the first day, the meeting will commence at 9am. Registration is now open.
802.1 May '10 Interim meeting
The May interim meeting will be held at ITU-T Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 24th to 27th, hosted by ITU-T. IEEE 802.3 will also be meeting there at the same time. There will be no meeting fee. Accommodation will be at local hotels in the Geneva area; preferential rates should be available for ITU-T attendees. Free public transport in the Geneva city area, including between the city centre and the ITU-T campus is available to hotel residents. A travel card will be issued when you check in to the hotel. Free train transport from the airport to the city centre is also available: get a ticket from the machine in the baggage reclaim hall.
The day after the meeting, it is planned to hold a joint IEEE802/ITU-T workshop; while 802.1 does not formally plan to participate, the workshop will be open to attendees of the interim meeting. For your information, the ITU-T SG15 plenary meeting is being held during the two weeks following the 802.1 meeting.
802.1 September '10 Interim meeting
The September interim meeting will once again be held in York, UK, from September 13th to 16th, hosted by ADVA Optical Networking. The meeting fee is likely to be in the range $400 - $500 (US). Accomodation fee (UK Pounds Sterling): single: £105; double £120. Further information is available.
