Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] MAC SP Request

Hi Bo,

Please add the following SFD MAC SP to the queue. Thank you.

Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
802.11bp defines a mechanism that allows the AMP energizer to respond to WPT control information sent by the AMP AP, with the feedback including success acknowledgement, request for parameter modification, or rejection.

Best Regards

Subject: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] MAC SP Request
Hi Bo,
Please help to add the following MAC SFD SPs to the queue:

SP1
q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
§  Upon a successful AMP AP transmission of an MU-RTS TXS Trigger frame to an AMP Energizer, with the TXS Mode field equal to 2, the AMP AP may transmit an AMP PPDU before the indicated start time of the TXOP allocation period as specified in the MU-RTS TXS Trigger frame for bistatic backscatter communication.
§  For an AMP Energizer that receives the MU-RTS TXS Trigger frame with the TXS Mode field equal to 2 from an AMP AP, the time allocation for the TXOP sharing shall start at the indicated start time in the PPDU for bistatic backscatter communication.
§  The CTS frame from the AMP Energizer shall use default 6Mbps data rate (BPSK, 1/2 coding rate) when responding to the AMP AP (to determine the start time).
[Reference: 11-26/0905r0, 11-26/0906r0]
Clause 39.7.2 states: The document describes parameters for transmitting AMP DL Type 4 PPDU for bistatic backscattering, including start time, duration, central frequency, and optional transmission power. AI-generated content may be incorrect.

SP2
q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
§  The AMP AP shall transmit an AMP DL Type 1 PPDU on the 20MHz assigned for UL from a bistatic backscatter non-AP AMP STA to protect the channel from third party STA transmissions.
[Reference: 11-26/0905r0, 11-26/0906r0]

SP3
q  Do you agree to amend PM-92 in the 802.11bp SFD as:

  • In the U-SIG field in DL AMP PPDUs, if      the AMP Mode indicates bistatic backscatter communication, the U-SIG field      includes the following mode dependent contents:
Uplink channel for bistatic backscatter communication (1 bit)
Set to 0 to indicate the lower 20MHz channel relative to downlink
Set to 1 to indicate the upper 20MHz channel relative to downlink
40MHz center frequency channel number indication (1 bit)
Set to 0 to indicate channel number 3
Set to 1 to indicate channel number 11
Bistatic Exciter transmission flag (1 bit)
Set to 0 to indicate the PPDU is transmitted by an AMP AP
Set to 1 to indicate the PPDU is transmitted by a bistatic exciter
       Bistatic Exciter Identification (TBD bits).
[Reference: 11-26/0905r0, 11-26/0906r0]
Note:
Channel number 3, with center freq. 2422 MHz is in the lower Operating Class 83 (See Annex-E Table E-4), corresponding to non-overlapping 20MHz channels 1 and 5.
Channel number 11, with center freq. 2462 MHz is in the upper Operating Class 84 (See Annex-E Table E-4), corresponding to non-overlapping 20MHz channels 9 and 13.

SP4
q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
  • The AMP Data field      of the AMP DL Type 4 PPDU does not contain a Frame Body field, and the      Frame Type field of the MAC Header of the AMP Data field has one type      reserved to indicate DL Type 4 PPDU for bistatic backscatter operation.
[Reference: 11-26/0905r0, 11-26/0906r0]

SP5
q  Do you agree to add the following text to the 802.11bp SFD?
  • A bistatic      backscatter non-AP AMP STA determines the start time of the first UL slot,      as the end time of the received AMP DL PPDU soliciting the UL PPDU, plus      the delay time indicated in the same AMP DL PPDU.
  • Note: The delay      time may be fixed for a fixed size AMP DL Type 4 PPDU.
  • Note: The      indication of the delay time being implicit or explicit is TBD.
[Reference: 11-26/0905r0, 11-26/0906r0]

Thanks and Regards
